Nina de Freitas is a Denver-based singer-songwriter known for her rich vocals and evocative songwriting. Born in Brazil to musician parents, including her father Carlinhos Brown, a renowned Brazilian recording artist, she moved to the United States at age three and was raised in Colorado. Her music draws inspiration from artists like Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Radiohead, and Neil Young, reflecting a blend of honesty and complexity.
In 2017, de Freitas released her debut EP, Spinning Towards the Edge, showcasing powerful, guitar-driven songs of heartbreak and reflection. She has performed at notable Colorado venues, including the main stage at The Underground Music Showcase in 2018. Currently, she is working on a new album set for release in 2024.
